The public organisation Masha Foundation won first place in the regional stage of the Charitable Ukraine–2024 competition in the “Non-governmental Sector Philanthropy” category. This award is a testament to the trust, recognition, and strength that the team has demonstrated while working for four years alongside those affected by the consequences of the war.
“The Charitable Kyiv Region award is not just a trophy for us; it confirms that the path we are on as the Masha Fund is both important and noticeable,” says Tetiana Muratkina, the Foundation’s director. “Every day, we work for women profoundly affected by the war, always prioritising their support. However, it is even more valuable when our work is recognised by a wider audience, including society, the community, and professionals. It inspires us, gives us strength, and adds even more responsibility.”
The Charitable Kyiv Region competition is held annually to honour those whose care, support, and specific actions improve people’s lives. This year, the Masha Fund’s team is among the honorees.
Established in 2020 to combat all forms of violence, the Masha Foundation quickly refocused its efforts when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The team prioritised the urgent need to help women and children affected by the war. During this challenging period, the organisation has launched dozens of initiatives, assisting tens of thousands of women and their children.
