The Masha Foundation and Grinchenko University signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of training psychologists

The Faculty of Psychology, Social Work and Special Education of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and the Masha Fund have concluded a memorandum of partnership aimed at developing practical training for future psychologists and joint research in the field of mental health.

Within the framework of the partnership, the parties will combine the academic expertise of the university and the practical experience of specialists from the Unbreakable Mental Recovery Center from the Masha Fund, which works with women and children affected by the war. As part of the partnership, students will be able to intern in the Center’s programs, scientists will conduct joint research, and practicing psychologists will share their expertise in lectures, workshops, and supervisions.

“The combination of scientific training and practical work with vulnerable groups enhances the quality of psychological care, promotes the development of evidence-based approaches, and forms a new generation of specialists capable of working with trauma and supporting the resilience of Ukrainian society,” emphasized Director of the Masha Fund Tetiana Muratkina.

During the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the Faculty of Psychology, Social Work and Special Education of Grinchenko University and representatives of the Masha Fund, areas of joint work were outlined – from internships by students in the Center’s programs to the implementation of research projects, guest lectures, supervisions and exchange of professional experience.

The focus of the cooperation is on strengthening the quality of psychological care in Ukraine.

“For our Center,this is a step towards the systematic development of the sphere of psychological support in Ukraine.We work with very complex requests every day, and over 12 thousand consultations have shown: practical experience requires fixation and scientific analysis,” emphasized Olena Filipova, Operations Director of the Unbreakable Mental Recovery Center. “In partnership, we will be able to structure the developed approaches and create methodologies that will meet global standards and be useful to colleagues in different countries.”
